Feel like you’ve lost control of your physical and emotional energy?
I’ve been coaching people to be their best for over twenty years and love seeing them thrive as they adjust the lens they’re looking through. As a mom of teengaers, I realized that I could use my talent to help moms feel less frustrated, isolated and defeated as their kids navigate the challenging teen years. Helping my clients improve their relationship with themselves and honor their needs is my superpower. You’ll love how your energy shifts and your interactions become more positive after working together! I’m excited for you to experience more peace and confidence and live the life you’re meant to live.
Hey, I'm Cheryl
It’s the end of the school year and us Moms have been through a lot. With the move into summer, we can be excited about the change in routine, anxious about how to manage it or maybe a little of both. With June 1st being National Say Something Nice Day in the US, let’s talk about Moms supporting each other by spreading kindness and love. I think we can all use a little more of that! And we know what goes around comes around, so why not?
We have the ability to make a positive impact on each other’s lives with tiny gestures, so let’s dive in and explore the power of kindness.
Lift Each Other Up
No Mom has it all figured out, despite what you see on social media. We’re often facing family struggles no one knows about. (If you have a teenager, you know what I’m talking about.) When you see another Mom today, look for an opportunity to say something nice and remind her of how amazing she is. A little compliment can brighten someone’s day!
Share Encouragement
We all face challenges and moments when we doubt ourselves. But when moms support each other and cheer each other on, we can do almost anything! If you see a mom struggling or feeling down, offer words of encouragement. Let her know that she’s doing a fantastic job and that she’s not alone on this journey. A simple “You’ve got this, Mom!” can work wonders.
Reach out
Moms are superheroes, but even superheroes need a helping hand sometimes. If you notice a mom who could use some assistance, or just seems off, don’t hesitate to offer your time. It could be as simple as offering to pick up her kids from school so she can take a break or inviting her to coffee. By showing kindness through our actions, we create a supportive community of moms.
Practice Active Listening
Sometimes, all a mom needs is someone who will listen and understand without judgment. Practice the art of active listening. When a fellow mom is sharing her joys or concerns, give her your full attention. Show her that you care by asking questions and offering empathy. By being there for each other, we build deep connections and forge lasting friendships.
Create a Mom Support Group
What’s better than one mom? A whole group of moms! There are a ton of opportunities to connect with other moms when our kids are little, but as they get into the teenage years and you really need someone to talk to, you’re often on your own. Consider starting a mom support group in your community. This can be a safe space where moms can come together, share experiences, and support each other. Whether it’s meeting for coffee, hiking, or having group discussions, the support group can be a source of strength and companionship. Check out my previous post for ideas on how to make new friends.
We’ve got this
Moms supporting each other can be as a simple as choosing the right words. By lifting each other up, we create a community where kindness thrives. So, go ahead and say something nice to a fellow mom, offer a helping hand, or listen with an open heart. Together, we can make a positive difference in each other’s lives and celebrate the beautiful journey of motherhood. Remember, moms supporting moms is the coolest team ever!
